Introduction
For this project we made stories about any topic that had a strong connection to us. We decided to make a book (I designed the cover!) named "Journeys In Motion" We learned the "Hero's Journey", a technique used in almost every book and also how to put dialogue in our story. We learned these techniques and many more to make our stories more professional. We had to have a Journey, Description and also a mix of Dialogue in our stories to make them acceptable to put in our book.
Description of Launch
We launched this project by talking about internships that all the Juniors do during the last semester. Just describing what we'll think we'll do and how it's going to work for us. Our teacher Dr. P had us really described what we are going to do to and sparked us to be descriptive just to see where we were as a class about internships. This was a nice way to start this project because we all need to get thinking about internships next year, so to describe on what we think we are going to do was pretty helpful
We also did a hands on activity and we left the school and walked up to a Vons that was a short walk from our school. Our task was to pick a random person to observe for half an hour. Technically, we were being weird and stalking/following people, but it was only for a while and it wasn't like we were planning murder or anything. When we were observing our person, we had to describe what they were wearing, what they were doing, how they acted, etc.. We had to be on point on the description of that person we were stalking to really create a picture of how they looked and what they were doing in that half an hour. This activity was creepy but cool because it was a nice exercise for my descriptive skills.

Baseline Writing Essay/Initial Story Ideas

Writing this piece of writing I remember having to remember a lot of stuff. I personally found this as a nice topic and I am proud of how I just remembered everything and put it on paper. I learned about how I write and how I actually use proper format. I definitely see that I could have improved on my word use and how descriptive I could've been in this piece. I also don't have the best writing skills so excuse me.
Initial Story Ideas:
The ideas I wrote down are pretty much the very strong memories I remember. Some were positive moments in my life, some were negative. Overall though these are the ideas that I remember the most.

"How I Won The Right To The Streets Of Memphis"
"How I Won The Right To The Streets Of Memphis", was a story that Dr.P presented to us and we had to act scenes out. The story was about a kid that got bullied because he didn't know how to defend himself and he had to go to the grocery store in the corner or else he wouldn't be able to go home. His mom wouldn't let him come back to the house unless he got the groceries so he had to face his fear. The story was actually really cool and it was a nice addition to my memory. My group had the scene where the boy has to fight the bullies. Whenever I look back at this, I just remember what great skill this activity gave me, the ability to picture a scene in my head.
Hero's Journey
So, we learned something called the hero's journey and it is a writing strategy. This strategy is to help you plot out everything specifically in a story about a "hero's journey". You can see this in many movies but mostly obvious in super hero movies. This strategy really didn't help me because my story is different than the others stories in my class so I didn't really follow this plot.

Golden Moment
My golden moment during the exhibition was probably when people were reading their stories out lout. It was nice but aside from that, we didn't have anyone visit our exhibition.
