Project description
For our biology side of the project, Ms.Lesley assigned us to make a public service announcement that talks about the good and bad things humans have done to the environment. The reason as to why we were assigned to make these videos was to help reach out into the community to educate them about the current issues that the Earth, let it be greenhouse gasses or mass extinction. My group decided to focus on mass extinction and how to prevent it. We learned how to film and also how to edit our film to make an interesting PSA that people would actually watch and hopefully want to do something about the issue. Our class split up into groups 4-5 groups, each of them focusing in a different issue and doing their research and filming as well. We also took trips to the San Diego Zoo in order to get film and also went to Imperial Beach to get b-roll and even got to experience some issues like trash pollution or species endangerment. At the end, we showcased our PSAs at our school's exhibition night where many people could see them and learn about the world's issues.
